Ontic Systems technology is designed from the ground up. It is based on a philosophically sound general model of information. Philosophy
Ontic Systems architecture is underpinned by a metaphysical model of the world where the realms of both the phenomenal and the noumenal (Kant) are recognised and accommodated. Things and happenings are represented phenomenally and ontologically, over and over, through time, from different viewpoints, expressed in different ways, ever tending towards a noumenal impression of those things and happenings in the ontic repository of the system. Stochasticity (Atmanspacher) is maintained for things and happenings at the physical level so as to preserve the omnimorphic and indeterminate nature of the arrangement of things and happenings as they accumulate in the system. On accessing information in the system, any number of complimentary and/or contratictory determinate views are possible and the perceived makeup and structure of information can vary from one view to another, preserving the polymorphic nature of the information held.
Anything can be anything to anything else, until and only while a view is taken. When an ontological view is adopted of things and happenings, they take on particular interrelationships and phenomenal qualities, but only for the holders of that view. The ontological and ontic (Hartmann, Heidegger) repositories of the system are held physically and logically separate. More on this later...
Blockchain
The Blockchain approach is compatible with the Ontic Systems general information model. This presents a clear opportunity for a technology marriage where Ontic Systems can use Blockchain for object registration and inter-object relationship recording in situations where the highest levels of information authenticity, integrity, and auditing-openess are required. In use, the general model of information identified by Ontic Systems has always generated a continuous verifiable chain of alterations to the state of objects and events registered in the system.
System Architecture
Ontic Systems architecture features a high level of de-coupling in both its physical and conceptual modelling. This allows for very versatile yet high-level Application Programmer Interfacing, language independence, multi-media interpretation of information, and inherent high levels of security. All specific information models, system configurations, 3rd party interface specifications, and user authorisation and security profiles are held as information in the same information repository as any other information in an Ontic Systems installation.
